Harper Queen never expected to end up back in the small, rickety town her mother use to call home. Kiwi, Illinois is known for being in the middle of nowhere.  Harper and her family used to go every summer until one year they decided to stop. 

It's been fourteen years since Harper has visited Kiwi, but a family wedding has her coming back.  After being in a rut with money, her cousins and their friends offer her help; however, the help isn't exactly legal. 

She thought her high school boxing days might help her out, but underground fighting is a completely different ball game. The pain is bad, the bruises are worse, but the money is good. With everything that has happened to her in the last few years, money does her some good; as does a guy named Logan Jackson. 

Logan and Harper use to be attached at the hip when they were young, but after Harper moved to her suburban town she didn't see him until now. With the two of them both fighting in the ring, it's a miracle they don't burn the place down together.
