Charles and Liz are the parents of Kimi, they're one of few remaining Shifter families. Shifters are resented by the tribal people of the plains, and no contact between the two has occurred in many generations. They faded into each others myths, becoming mystical monsters to one, and an ancient threat to the other.
When the Europeans discovered this 'new world' they also discovered the tribal people, calling them Native Americans. Since the Shifters were believed to be nothing but legend the the natives, no one thought that they actually existed. Becoming nothing but terrible monsters to the Europeans.
So what happens when this fragile belief of monsters and demons being nothing but fable is shattered? What would happen should a fabled 'monster' enter the midsts of 'civilized' human beings?

I closed my eyes ready for my death when I heard a very loud and dangerous growl, I swear I felt the ground under me shook by it. I opened my eyes quickly to see what it is, but I couldn't believe my eyes, I just couldn't. even in this state, me crying mess, in pain, this was just like a dream. H-how is that possible? How can there be a Lycan right in front of me? They exist only in fantasy. I wiped my teary eyes with the back of my hands, it took me only a few seconds to do so, but when I removed my hand the big Lycan which was far away only a few seconds ago was now right in front of me I couldn't help but to scream. How-how did he get here so fast? " p-please let m-me go ... what have I ever done to any of you..?" I felt the hot tears I thought I had them under control falling from my eyes once more. He growled making me cry even harder, I could feel my body starting to shake unstoppably. Just when I didn't know what was next, I felt my self being lifted up in his large arms as I was brought closer to the creature's chest. The world is full of darkness, everything that gives no light is automatically a sign of trap. Life for Micah Wilson was nothing but normal. She went to school and partied with her friends, her friends who weren't considered the normal ones of the school, and were often called the freaks and weird kids of the school. But compared to everything else, life was normal. Aside from the fact that Micah had a way of always finding herself on the wrong side of the mean girls, she had little to complain about. Unfortunately for Micah, she had always had a strange habit of crossing paths with one Davy Henderson who was considered the goddess of the school. Stepping on Davy's toes could land one into the worst crossfire's between social suicide and life and death, and when Micah crossed that line, neither hers or Davy's life would ever be the same. All Davy Henderson wanted was to teach the freak of Moon Hill High a lesson, and one that she would never forget. Settling Slowly
2015 rolled in with a bang, and it did not have the grace to gift me with a social life that everyone in a one hundred year radius would be jealous of or that is even just the talk of the town. Instead I got myself into a complicated relationship which wasn't much talked about, a relationship that I didn't get into is talked about all the time and university is around the figurative corner. That is where you can factor in people I suppose I should call 'fans', the fascination that comes in with cutlery, pots, pans and other formerly boring things. But let us not forget that my parents are finally getting married and Mum can't shop for lace without me wanting to kill her, add in a dose of sleepless nights, invigorating kisses - which have nothing to do with the sleepless nights and a lot to do with nightmares - Harriet not knowing the meaning of the words "you're done" and Ice Ice Baby is still a thing. We're all growing up (except Dad who will still make inappropriate jokes at every inappropriate moment, some to do with what cannot be done when you're wearing a plaster cast) and holidays are being planned though some are less holiday and more a mad dash to find somewhere to live out in the big wide world without our parents.
