We both did it, our parents did it, and for generations back, and they all survived. Shifters have survived encounters with tribal people before, she will be okay."

Charles and Liz are the parents of Kimi, they're one of few remaining Shifter families. Shifters are resented by the tribal people of the plains, and no contact between the two has occurred in many generations. They faded into each others myths, becoming mystical monsters to one, and an ancient threat to the other.
When the Europeans discovered this 'new world' they also discovered the tribal people, calling them Native Americans. Since the Shifters were believed to be nothing but legend the the natives, no one thought that they actually existed. Becoming nothing but terrible monsters to the Europeans.
So what happens when this fragile belief of monsters and demons being nothing but fable is shattered? What would happen should a fabled 'monster' enter the midsts of 'civilized' human beings?

I have funny dreams with bipeds but I have a world to explore. Mommy still has to teach me how to fly and breathe fire but I want to know many things and I am very curious. One day a fireball crashed in the forest and a little biped like in my dreams was crying. I brought it home secretly so that it would not cry anymore. I didn't want mom to find my human doll! Children, one dragon and the other human will have to leave the wilderness to find civilization. It will take a lot of ingenuity and courage for our little dragoness to survive in our modern world in the age of the internet and find her dragon mom captured by soldiers. She will have to learn a lot, hide from new enemies and make allies if she ever wants to find her. She will also have to make terrible choices too early and too hard for 6 year olds. Inside her, a terrible sleeping power must not be awakened. Doors, universes of other dark and oppressive dimensions, saturated: I risk nothing? I risk something? What is this darkness? I am afraid! Settling Slowly
2015 rolled in with a bang, and it did not have the grace to gift me with a social life that everyone in a one hundred year radius would be jealous of or that is even just the talk of the town. Instead I got myself into a complicated relationship which wasn't much talked about, a relationship that I didn't get into is talked about all the time and university is around the figurative corner. That is where you can factor in people I suppose I should call 'fans', the fascination that comes in with cutlery, pots, pans and other formerly boring things. But let us not forget that my parents are finally getting married and Mum can't shop for lace without me wanting to kill her, add in a dose of sleepless nights, invigorating kisses - which have nothing to do with the sleepless nights and a lot to do with nightmares - Harriet not knowing the meaning of the words "you're done" and Ice Ice Baby is still a thing. We're all growing up (except Dad who will still make inappropriate jokes at every inappropriate moment, some to do with what cannot be done when you're wearing a plaster cast) and holidays are being planned though some are less holiday and more a mad dash to find somewhere to live out in the big wide world without our parents. The world is full of darkness, everything that gives no light is automatically a sign of trap. Life for Micah Wilson was nothing but normal.
