She Goes Away

In a small, predominantly white community, Charlene Bows is pining over a breakup with the guy who claims no one else is willing to date the lone black girl but him. After enduring his abuse both mentally and physically, and feeling the pressure from her workaholic parents, Charlene impulsively quits her job and goes on a long walk to self-discovery.
