Versailles, France, 1770.

The Dauphin Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette are set to wed.

Aristocrats from across Europe have arrived at the Palace of Versailles to witness the holy union, for it marks a most momentous stage in both France and Austria's histories.

Although the revolution is not due for another decade, the seeds of anarchy have been long-sown in the minds of plebeians.

They are settled now, but they shan't be for long. There is resentment and anger towards the gentry; a royal wedding might just be the last straw. And Versailles seems the most fitting place to ignite the flame of rebellion.

When a group of sheltered, blissfully ignorant young nobles become entangled in a plot to commit treason, each passing day becomes a race against time to save themselves, and France as they know it.

Welcome to Versailles... Morte au Roi!

[Male Reader X Maria Renard.] FINISHED. WARNING: This story contains plenty of narrative elements that are far more sinister and disturbing than my other books. Reader discretion is advised. The French Revolution. Late 18th Century France, 1792. France has seen a time of peace, until now. The cobblestone streets of Paris are soon to run red with blood as the populace rises against the oppressive vampire lead aristocracy. But freedom comes at a high price. Due to massive amounts of food purposely being held back from the public, the fall of a Regiment that once kept the peace, the manipulation of the people on a grand scale, and hunger induced domestic violence that spreads across France like wildfire, nowhere is safe. The aforementioned violence starts to boil over to the point where people are killing each other in the streets either in organized or non-organized ways. Including French Nobility using politics as a weapon to kill anyone whoever so slightly irritates them, or say the wrong words. Innocent people are sent to the guillotine as a result of the chaos, but not everything is as it seems. The counter-revolutionary aristocracy has forged an alliance with a terrifying Vampire Messiah, who promises to devour the sun, which will in turn darken the earth permanently, and allow an army of vampires and night creatures to crush the resisting humans and enslave humanity to only exist as their food to eat. Regardless, in the wake of The French Revolution, it leaves Richter, Maria, Edouard, Madeline, You, Annette, and Tera with no other options left but to band together, prevent the sun from being eaten by the so called "Vampire Messiah", to survive by any means, protect the people, and of course, to extinguish the creatures that lurk the night. Every last one. Good luck surviving this war, you'll need it. Castlevania Series © Konami & Netflix. Assassin's Creed © Ubisoft. All songs used in this story belong to their respective owners.

Sir Lancelot, his faithful First Knight. Guinevere, Arthur's promised bride. Garreth, her best friend and cousin, the son of Merlin (Myrddin), the great wizard. It sounds just like the Arthurian Legend, doesn't it? But... What if everything happened differently? What if the young Princess Guinevere was not so keen on marrying Prince Arthur, whom she met... when he came for a week-long sightseeing tour to her father's kingdom accompanied by dashing Sir Lancelot? What if she was... dressed as a knight, pretending to be a bodyguard hired for the visitors? And... What if it was 'a she', who was destined to pull the sword from the stone and thus unite the kingdoms? This is my version, a humorous retelling of the famous legend, a medieval fantasy- coming of age- romantic comedy. *This story is purposely historically innacurate, set in some parallel, fantastical Britain that is different from what it had really been in the past, even though I'm using real locations, historically confirmed battles, and the Saxons as enemies of my legendary King Arthur.
