"We've left our mark on each other, you and I.." I look back up at Jack, silently begging for a reaction to my words. My not so subtle hints to our past. He looks me back in the eyes and, nothing. Not a hint of feeling, of recognition. Instead he looks down at his wrist, at the mark I left on him.
"What happened to us Jack." It's not a question, I don't want an answer. At the very least he still knows me enough to realize that. He looks as though he might say something, but he stops himself by continuing on about why he's really here, and it has nothing to do with us.
