Helena: I'm just an ordinary girl. I like to go shopping, I like reading, I love my family and friends, I love visiting the prison and- wait. Did I just say "I love visiting the prison?" Oh right! That's because my father is in wonderland and it's all because of me. You see there's this thing where you need to act happy just so people don't have to pretend that they actually care. There's this thing where you're just so tired that you don't even feel like trying anymore. That's how most people. Not me, my feeling. Well, let's just say it's much worse. Dustin: I'll keep saying it over and over "My father died several years ago" But I can't help but think that he's behind the bars, no freedom left whatsoever. I know he's not dead and I'm afraid that one day it'll get to me. That one day I'll realize that my dad actually died behind the prison bars with me never visiting him. Not even once. Ace: Well, there's really nothing to say about me. I'm not an open book. Usually people would say "I'm an open book" Not in my case, I'm a book thats closed with chains wrapped around it. It's crazy how people might think that they know you when they know nothing. They assume things and think that they know everything, that their holding the universe. When their just one out of seven billion people, nothing special about them whatsoever. I see everyone as the same people and I'm still looking for the one that stands out of the crowd, the one that doesn't blend in. The one that I'll love to look at, get to know, become friends with. That's special to me. I don't know about other people but standing out is better that blending in. ---------- RIGHTS RESERVED TO MARQUESA ARINGO 2017 ---------- DO NOT COPY MY STORY IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM.

The X-Men meets Stranger Things in this coming-of-age tale. I, Nadine Jackson, believe in science and opportunities, not stories out of a comic book. So as part of a school project, my friends Imogen 'Aria' Zhang, Marco Martinez, James Ryder and I were tasked to find a topic on social issues and do a project about it. But just as we were up to the challenge, we were "killed" by two men, drowned in toxic water, and instantly came back to life with no sudden injuries and supernatural abilities. While I can move things with my mind, Aria controls air, Marco is immortal, and James can phase through walls. And as weird as this sounds, my friends and I are being hunted by federal agents, shunned by society, and wanted for crimes that we never did. James always told us that everything is going to be alright; that nothing bad is going to happen to us no matter what. But when you are a fifteen-year-old kid with weird powers, how will you ever go back to the way things were? Disclaimer note: since this book will take place in the Marvel Universe, I do not own all the Marvel characters.
