Every 20 years comes an annual event known as "The Games"
2 boys are chosen from each of the 10 towns of the kingdom
to go to the palace to compete for the princess's hand in marriage and love
20 young boys, 10 towns, only one will win..

When 17 year old, Adam Parker is surprisingly chosen to compete he wants nothing to do with it. Especially when his best friend is also chosen to compete. Adam thinks the princess is a over pampered snob who should be running a kingdom but instead is killing 17-23 year old boys. But when he's royal obsessed brother suddenly falls ill he is determined to win The Games for his brother. As money he'd have enough money as king to pay for a cure but also to help him take care of himself, his brother and sister.
But throughout this whole thing Adam has a deep secret he's hiding..
Will he's brother be okay? And more important will be be alive to tell the tale..

Concequences of Rebelling
Nova Brown, the girl who is on fire. She's from City 12, the girl who has nothing, barely enough food for her family, mother, father, older brother and littler sister. She hunts daily, but sometimes even that isn't enough. And the new year, she never imagined for it to be like this. She has to participate in the 'Games' well at least that's what the Capital calls it. Everyone else calles it indesisive torture. Ever since Nova's father almost died in the mine bombing when she was 11 he has been in a wheel chair, he lost his leg, and seriously injured his arm, he has burns across his chest, back, and legs. Since then Nova's been the one getting the food from hunting. She along with the rest of her family have never felt full so when she volunteers for her younger sister everything changes. She finds love she never knew she could have, she finally knows just how cruel everyone in the Capital is. And all of these 'Games' happened because of consequences by rebelling 74 years ago. I own most of this book. But some of it like the games, the cities and such I don't own they are owned by The Hunger Games makers and anything else that DIRECTLY quotes or something from the Hunger Games I don't own. However, the government decides to fight overpopulation by executing any legal adult who commits a crime. Paid your taxes late? Dead. Stole a loaf of bread from the grocery store? Dead. Had more than one kid? Dead. However, anyone under 18 that commits a crime will be jailed instead of killed and has until their 18th birthday to prove their innocence or they will be killed as well. That is, until this year. The rules have been changed. Instead of just accepting that your fate is to die, all prisoners that turn 18 within the year that have not proven their innocence can choose to fight for their lives against every other criminal. The last one standing will be freed and have their records wiped clean from any crimes. There's just one small issue.
