Castiel and Gabriel Shurley are good brothers, Castiel being the youngest by 3 years. They are good brothers and care for each other so much especially since they're both hunters. Cas has sold his soul to a crossroads demon to bring Gabriel back from death and his time to live had ended. Cas is in hell and Gabe is trying his best to find a way to get his brother out of the pit, but two unimaginable beings rescue the man from the flames of hell and soon they will join the hunt with the fellow brothers. Not only will they become friends but maybe something even more than that.

During a dangerous case with Sam and Dean something goes wrong and Castiel goes missing, this isn't like the other times Cas has disappeared, this is different, it's strange even for Cas. With Castiel gone Dean doesn't eat or sleep he just drinks and prays wondering if Cas can hear him. Day and night he checks the newspapers and police reports from every city, and county in the US for any sign of the trench coat angel. With no leads things become even more bleaker. Castiel is lost he doesn't know where he is or who he is. He just goes where his feet take him. He never eats or sleeps but he doesn't he have to, he doesn't know why he doesn't eat and it doesn't bother him much cause it would just slow him down. He remembers nothing about Sam or Dean or even himself for that matter, but something is itching at the wall in the back of his head trying to break through, it wants to get out but can't. He gets fragments of things every so often but they are of pain and torture and a redhead he doesn't know the name of.
