Monster souls are made of love, care, and compassion. A monster cannot live without it.
Meanwhile, a Human soul has been proven to live and grow without love or compassion, and instead on determination and the will to impact others.
Chara, a young child of age nine, stumbles upon a world of magic, monsters, and love.
It doesn't take long for the quiet child to grow an attachment to the first face they see upon impact, Asriel.
As they grow, Asriel will help his newfound companion learn and mature away from their 'Kill or Be Killed' outlook on the world, and teaches the child how good the world really is.
Breaking Chara of bad habits, as well as learning more about himself in the process, Asriel forms a close bond with his best, and only, friend.
A monster soul and a human soul - a dangerous combination.
Love against the natural will to hurt.
What will this partnership of powers bring to the Underground city, and to the two growing children?
