Daisy Brooks looks like a normal girl on the outside. You would never expect her to be any different from the average person. And that's the way she wants to keep it. She doesn't want anyone to know about her disorder. She feels like a freak enough as it is from her mother at home and her dad being absent more and more each time he goes on business trips.

Nolan Parker is a pissed off guy and frankly misunderstood. He has been labeled for his anger issues and the rumors that are spread about him concerning his past and alcoholic father. Nolan doesn't care about anyone but his sister and mother. He doesn't want to get close to anyone and doesn't plan on it.

These two are totally different, at least they think they are. They don't talk to each other and aren't even in the same circles. What happens when they are forced together and learn that they might not be so different after all? Will they be able to stick together despite their lives crashing around them or will they beat the odds?

In this society, everyone has a soulmate. And the way to find yours is just look. Along with a soulmate, everyone has a small tattoo on their cheek with a symbol. Some could be a star, a flower, a yinyang, a fish, or even waves. There are so many people that the symbols are almost limitless. The tattoos don't care about gender or number. There could be gay matches, and there could even be polyamorous matches. The tattoos will tingle when you are near to your sm. And they will glow if you have found only one of your sm's if your match was poly. The trick is, you don't get the tattoo until you are 16. And even if you are near your match, as long as one of you are not of age, your tattoo will not tingle. Also, they are normal tattoos (except you don't get it or choose it, it just appears) so you can get rid of it. But if you do, your sm won't die but they will get very sick. The main characters of this story, Violet West (18) and Harper Black (20), both have a flame tattoo on their cheek. They live in the same state but for 4 years Harper paniced because she couldn't find her match. She wasn't sure if it was because her sm wasn't of age yet or if her sm lived far away. For 2 years Violet also paniced but she knew that some people don't find their sm for 5-10 years after they come of age, so she wasn't as scared as Harper. One day though, they feel their tattoos start to tingle. ____________________________________ *Will they be happy with who their soulmate turns out to be? *Will they recognize each other? *Will they be happy? *Will they break apart? -Read to find out. :) ____________________________________ This book is rated mature because there is a lot of talk of depression and self harm. So if you feel uncomfortable with reading about that.. this book is not for you.

[Warning: Sexual Content] "I wondered if there would ever be a point when we didn't hesitate, or when my heart didn't pound so hard against my ribs when he undressed me. As much as I wanted it to feel more natural, I didn't want to lose how lightheaded and giddy it made me feel." ~ After a severe and somber encounter with his mother, Albion Bryson's life seems to be turned upside down. A serious head injury causes his father to turn for help to Doctor Grace Reynolds. Hearing about Albion's condition and change of attitude, Grace convinces her oldest daughter, Dawn Reynolds, to help and socialize with him after hearing they shared classes at school. Dawn, later, becomes a significant person in his life. As time passes, the two become inseparable as Albion continues with his life despite the way he thinks of himself.
