Verena Ashton just happened to be in the wrong place at the absolute worst time.

She was out delivering lunch to her father when a man covered in blood bursts into the metro car she's riding in, and attacking the other people inside. Luckily for her, another man comes to her rescue. His name is Anton Blake, and as Verena is quick to learn, he is involved in something no one else knows about.

The Liberators were once considered the greatest and most honorable people in the country. Acting as superheroes, they protected the weak, defended the those in need, and were role models to all. But, after a certain incident, they became the scorn of the land, and have since been approached as a thorn in society's side.

Yet, when Verena meets with Anton again, he tells her that the Liberators are indeed alive and functioning, albeit secretly. In fact, Anton himself is a Liberator. He needs a replacement; and the only person he can ask is Verena.

Enigmatic: Sapphire City Supers

37 parts Complete

**A Wattpad Featured Story** Kenna Jones isn't a Superhero, and she wants to keep it that way. Though her brother, Sebastien, is a star member of the Sapphire City Super team, Kenna keeps her Super abilities to herself and far away from a celebrity lifestyle she finds selfish and disillusioning. For reasons she'd rather forget, she can't stand most Supers, and uses her mildly famous pen name as a kind of secret identity instead. One evening, fiercely independent Kenna meets the new guy, Enigma, in the most annoying circumstances, and finds him slowly chipping away at her prejudices. Then, with Villains on the loose, threatening to foist a great Evil (with a capital E) on Sapphire City and those she holds dear, Kenna has to ask herself one question: is it time for everything to change?
