War and peace never been able to coexist within the same mind and body. But what if they're separate? What if...one person was peace for the one caught up in the war? That's the theory Amaya Birkin has to test out after getting caught up in a war like no other. ~~~~~ "You took it upon yourself to save them. Countless times, death had been right in front of your face and all you could do was stand on the battlefield with HIM of all bots.. Why?" Birkin, who had been quiet as Cade spoke, found a smile forming on her tanned features. "Why?" She mimicked, a tilt of her head given in the direction of the older man. "Because I gave him an opportunity to walk away from it all and let me die and he chose to do the opposite." "Because of a debt." Cade pressed. "A debt that he's paid countless times and yet he still remains." Birkin returned just as firm. No matter how many times someone told her about the mess the decepticon leader had caused since 2007, the young woman was determined to see a reason where redemption could be found. It was not EXCUSES yet merely a huge chance aimed at the deadly Con. "I know that he isn't one to negotiate or be trusted, but we have a larger foe on our hands. Unicron and Quintessa. Not him." A sigh escapes Cade and he shakes his head as he stands up from the table. "Alright, whatever. But just... whatever happens that involves him, it'll be on you. Any casualty, any fuck up, any sabotaging and betrayal like last time-- His actions are on you." Birkin nods just once, forcing a calm smile at Cade's words. "I know." She said, watching until the man had disappeared behind the door before a shaky breath escaped. She had not always been this sure of the Decepticon leader and his motives, but she wanted to try and believe that he'd be of some use this time. "I really hope you don't make me regret my choices... MEGATRON."
