A Fire spirits rekindling!
Ace looked to his side with interest but soon his interest dwindled into disappointment. what he thought was a person was just a mere cat, though the cat was awfully fluffy, the sun made its black fur shine different purples and blues. a pretty sight for something that is condemned to be a sign of bad luck. Ace felt his body flicker with sparks as he stood up to leave. He put his hands into his shorts pockets as he looked over the town. Speaking of the town it wasn't small but not big. it couldn't compare to Dressrosa but it was big enough to be a place pirates often dropped to, to restock and resupply. Ace sighed before pushing himself towards the forest, he had made his home in the large expanse of forest this island offered. Ace scratched the back of his head before yawning his dark hair was a target for the blazing sun. He took one more glance at the Black cat before walking into the oak forest. "After you're done with everything here on this island. Would you like to maybe- join our crew? For real this time." Ace's eyes light up with hope. "I don't think I'll make it before you leave-" You look away, not bearing to face his piercing stare anymore. "I can wait!" he interrupts, letting go of your hand as quickly as he took it. "I mean uhh... me and the crew... we can wait for you," he stutters out. "This place seems pretty cool. I wouldn't mind staying here for a few more days." "We'll see," you softly chuckle in an attempt to hide your blank eyes. "I mean, who else is supposed to save you when you're halfway beaten to death?" Hearing his halfhearted laugh sent a striking pain through your chest. You swallow hard to keep a sob from escaping your throat as you realise this might be the last time you ever hear it. Tears roll down your cheeks, blurring your vision as you lock eyes with the freckled man you've been dreaming about for the past months. The familiar warmth tingles on your skin as he gently cups your face, his thumb carefully wiping away the tears on your cheek.
