She was walking down a deserted sidewalk not a soul in site no car's on the road, no people, nothing although who would be up at 2:00 am?

"You had to make me work late tonight didn't you?" She whispered to herself slightly cursing her boss for making her work so late.
although she liked the quiet that overlooked the city, but an eerie feeling hovered over her like a cloud of smoke.
Then suddenly she got a chill up her spine, like she could feel someone or something watching her every move.
But she just thought that it was her imagination and kept walking.

"One block to go." She said to herself trying to sake the fear from her body as she speed walked.
She heard footsteps behind her every now and again but every time she would stop, turn around and try to see if anyone was there, there was nothing.
But then they just stopped, no sound, no footsteps, nothing but the eerie feeling still lingered.

Ring, ring, ring
was the sound that filled the quite and cold city air
she pulled out her phone and answered but she didn't look at the caller ID to see who it was.

"hello, who is this?" She said waiting to see who answered back.
there was a glitching sound then someone answered in a deep and quite voice.
"It's me" It said as and the other line went dead.
