Avalon was born the daughter of a merchant but by the time of her tenth birthday, they joined the world of the aristocracy. Her childhood was charmed and a fairy tale with many hardships along the way. While growing up, she bonded with the Crown Prince; Jacques Marat. Now years later they're meeting for the first time since becoming adults. Of course, their country is never as it seems. With war on her doorstep and her people in her thoughts she must return to the Royal Court for the first time since her childhood, will she survive or fall victim to the Crimson Throne?
