Most male lion shifters can hold onto territory for nearly 25 years. The females of the species stay in the same land they were born and as long as all their cubs are grown and able to flee or defend themselves they accept new males without much of a fight. Lion shifters live much like their wild cousins. Other cat shifters are a bit different with only wanting one mate as they are mostly solitary creatures save for their mate and cubs. After leaving his pride Spiros settles in his own territory without a pride and hopes that he will stumble upon who he would choose to be his mate. As his instincts guided him to the territory in which he settled. But maybe he does want a pride, but he wants it different from other lions.
