Thousands of years ago a war between mankind erupted. The war threatened to destroy the entire world thus one king forged a devastating alliance with the dragons. The war ended, leaving all afraid of the mighty dragons and their warriors. Now the clan must continue to pay for their victory. One of the terms of the alliance is that every ten years a maiden must be selected from each village and city. They are trained as priestesses and sent to live with the dragons in the mountains. These women are never seen or heard from again.

The fire elves are a very old species, dating back to the time of The Great War, centuries ago. Elves are distant descendants of the Goddess of Elements, The First Elf. She had four aspects, corresponding to each of the four elements. She gave her elemental powers to her kin, elves and humans and many other monsters. They were Demi-immortal, only to be killed by deliberate intent. They have familiars, linked to their very souls, which they bond with using an ancient ceremony. The name meant "woman who is like the dragon," a fitting name for a tribe led by a head woman. This woman was lady Hyria Tatsu, the eldest of the tribe. Her apprentice goes by the name of Mina Ryoto. Star and Moon, two dragonets, would only bond with Mina. None of the other children were able to bond with the two dragonets. This was one of the reasons Hyria had chosen Mina. Only those of great legends could bond with two beasts. It would be a hard road for her, but being this special could turn out for the best. The world might depend on her one day.Complete
