I sighed and pulled away from his house at a slow pace. We had to go onto the main highway that ran through the town to get to school. At one point when the road had narrowed and there was no median between my side of the road and the other I looked up into my mirror to check behind me to see if I could slow down safely. When I looked back to the road ahead I got distracted by Stephen staring at me and I begun to stair back. "Maggie!" My brother screamed at me. Everything suddenly went slow, though I knew that it was going much faster. The second that I look at the front of my car I saw another car about to crumble into me. I looked back at Stephen and he had his seat belt undone. He was jumping in front of me taking the wheel and swerved the car left, so it would hit his side.
