It wasn't new. I had felt this before. But it seemed different this time, like I was walking down a whole new avenue of emotion. The steps were slow, as If I was trying to be as silent as possible, afraid something would latch out at me from the darkness. It engulfed me as I made my way through the woods, apprehension feeding my desire to walk faster, to run.

I watched closely as the blue eyes crept closer. They started to multiply as well as they started racing after me. I sprinted, my footsteps made no noise while they twitched and darted after me. Every day without fail, I take a hour walk in the forest behind my home after school. This time something happened that I didn't even expect in these woods. At first I heard a low growl and thought it was just a dog and an owner. Then it got louder, sounding like it was getting closer. My head jerked in a direction where a twig snapped, causing my heart to start beating faster then normal. It was a bit dark in the forest, considering it was winter. Then that's when I saw it, the red eyes coming from the bushes. My feet were frozen to the spot, I wanted to run but my feet didn't want to move. I felt a hand go on my shoulder, turning my head, I saw a man, probably in his early twenties. ''Run!'' He whispered but loud enough for it to be a shout. I looked at the eyes and a hand grabbed mine, pulling me off in a different direction. This isn't the best way to meet someone but what happens when they see more of each other? But now, she had a new chance at life, and she was determined to make the most of it. She was surprised when the Cullen family offered to take her in, and Luna had always been fascinated by them, ever since her mother had introduced her to the family a few years ago. But now, she was going to be living with them, but she wasn't sure how she felt about that. Luna had never been able to fully come to terms with her mother's death, and it had only added to her depression. But then she met a special someone. He was a boy from the nearby reservation, and he was kind and funny. He also had a secret. She was shocked when she found out, but she couldn't deny the feelings she had for him.
