Acanthous

Meaning: (Adj.) Shaped like a spike or thorn.

Synonyms: Acanthoid, Spinous

What it means now: Death

Our world is different...changed. An unknown life form has made it's presence on Earth, and killed about half of the human population. Our race has gone into hiding, most suspecting that this apocalypse is God's wrath, but let me tell you something. This may be an apocalypse, but God has abandoned us.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Marta Simmons is alone. Abandoned by her family. Living on her own. Surviving. Escaping the Acanthous.

Then, as she is lost and running for her life, she meets a group that is more than willing to accept her. Marta has to choose whether or not she wants to stay with her newly found friends. Can the formed alliance fight against the Acanthous? Or will they all die? That decision is in Marta's hands.
