" MARK!" I shouted. 

I whipped my head around to see a zombie pinning Mark. I raced over, slamming my axe onto it's rotting skull. The zombie fell lifeless to the side of Mark. I offered my hand, and he took it gladly. I beckoned for Mark. A gunshot rang in the distance. 

" Run." Mark said, his panic stricken eyes locking onto mine. 

Mark and I ran for dear life into the forest. Another gunshot rang, much closer this time. 

" Shit." I whispered, looking towards Mark's panicked brown eyes. 

Mark guided me through the forest, another axe in his hand. He seemed on high alert, carefully planning each step. A gunshot rang and a burning pain flung itself up my leg. 

" FUCK!" I screamed, tears running down my face. 

Mark wheeled around, concern in his eyes. He scooped me into his arms. After all, I was a short 5'6 and hardly weighted anything.
