Mature
Lance and Keith were best friends when they were little. It was impossible to separate the two, until there was an accident in which Keith's father died and he was sent to live with close family friends in a different town, not even getting a chance to tell Lance why he was leaving or getting to say goodbye to him.

Without Keith, Lance had no one. He battled depression and anxiety, but he was eventually able to make some friends, which lead to him having to pretend he was okay so that way he wouldn't worry them. He had picked up some unhealthy habits to punish himself when he fucked up or to calm himself down after a nightmare.

When Keith finally comes back to town, it turned out to be a struggle in to avoid homophobic assholes, keep his anger under control, and somehow make things right with Lance.

A Maybank and A Cameron? It's almost like a modern Romeo and Juliet. It's forbidden for them to be together. Could be the end of the world. The stolen glances, the hidden feelings, the unspoken words, the secret meetings and the obvious hatred towards each other followed by constant conflicts and some hidden past that threatened them but there are always invisible strings tied and pulling them together no matter how hard the tides trying to pull and part them away from each other.
