Sixteen year old Shiela Wilson has been in love with the ocean for as long as she can remember. Just once she wants to swim in it but she's about as far from the ocean as you can get. Shiela lives in a small town in Wyoming away from the sea. But she goes to Aloha Hawaii for spring break for a surfing competition, but is mistaken for a surfer and the actual persons coaches are pushing her into the water. She does what she has seen on tv shows and actually wins but then she tells the coach that she really isn't a surfer. The coach tells her to keep in touch and gives her a phone watch and says that they're from Australia. Once she goes home to Wyoming she finds out that she's adopted and from Australia; her parents fly her to Sydney Australia where she will go to finish that school year and go the entire summer there. Follow her as she begins her new life away from everything that she's ever known.
