Aelin Ashryver Whitethorn Galanthynius was a warrior queen, stronger than anything anyone had seen in a long time. But there is still only so much a person can take. Aelin died at the hands of the dark female queen Meave, all alone in the dark. She was gone.

Or that's what everyone thought.

Aelin has woken up in an unfamiliar land, with unfamiliar people. There's no one she knows she can trust, but maybe these new people can in fact help her.

Everyone has their demons though, and Aelin might need the help of a certain shadow shrouded male to face her own, while helping him face his too.
