Nora Strum has to be one of the most insecure girls on the face of the planet. Ever since elementary school, Nora has been bullied. Whether it be physical or verbal, Nora has been on the recieving end of the bully spectrum for years; and because of this, she has lost all self-confidence in herself. No boy has every looked twice in her direction- for with her overweight body, glasses, and hand-me-downs, Nora isn't exactly every guys wet dream. Then comes along of the new boy, Ben Woodall. He's cute, he's tall, and he looks like he gives great hugs (which is sexy in Nora's book). There's a beautiful aura about him that Nora can't help but get drawned into; but what she doesn't know, is that there is a hint of danger and mystery in there also. So what happens when Nora and Ben are put under an unfortunate situation of being held hostage together? Will they leave as friends? Leave as strangers? Or will they even be able to leave at all?

Ben is in a slump. After his "girlfriend" dumps him, he begins to feel his life is in a downward spiral. With a little crew of bullies with bad hair days every day and very few people to depend on, he's got a time bomb hovering over him, counting down the days until his bottled emotions blow up in his face. When a turn of events flips his world around, he's debating if second chances for loved ones are worth the risk. Ben is beginning to learn that you have to roll with the punches sometimes. Who knows? You might just find more than what you were looking for.
