Fifteen year old Casey's earliest childhood memory is of people looking away from her, horrified by her appearance. Her 8th surgery to look what is considered "normal" has failed, and her life takes an unexpected turn when she is sent to a segregated colony of people just like her. But here is the question that comes to mind. What kind of a world is it where ugliness is the norm and beauty the deviation?

What happens when she finally has enough of being the shy, depressed, guilt filled, daydreamer girl that she changed herself into. What happens when she has to transfer to the same school as her best friend Jacob who's in the same friend group as the schools "bad" boy who's also dating the worst bully she's ever had. Like a sunflower will she blossom to her full beauty or will she stay in her shell read to find out. Possible abuse, smut, drugs, self harm, sexual assault, smoking, cursing, dirty but not nude pictures and more. The main character is Kyra she is a young adult and she had a bad break up with her old highschool sweet heart. She works in a bar and it's another normal night until she meets this asshole blonde and suddenly her sense of normal is different. None of which is in every chapter except alcohol because the main character works in a bar.
