Raven Winterton had forgotten the meaning of the word 'happy'. Hours and hours of searching up the definition in her college dormitory and practicing a believable smile in the mirror didn't hold a candle to someone showing her what she had lost.
Grey Devlin, with a name like Grey, seemed to be the last person to know what it was like to be happy. Every day, there would be laughter from the dormitory next to his, but the girl he always saw emerge from the room would never laugh, never smile.
Two opposite personalities, with two opposite backgrounds, the only connection seeming to be the wall in between their two rooms.
