"We're half lights, you know," she said as she stood beside him. The town was brightly lit, despite it being almost midnight. The night breeze ruffled through her hair leaving parts of her neck exposed and she clenched her fists, trying to keep herself sane enough to not lean into his warmth. She could feel him still for a moment and then he swallowed. "What?" He whispered so low she almost barely heard him. The sky was a dark blue-black against the specks of gold. Mallory couldn't help but feel disappointed with herself for the amounts of times she never stopped to admire the sky. A day where someone doesn't stop for a second and appreciate the sky is a day wasted, she used to think. "We're half lights, Toryn," she repeated softly. He turned to her now, holding her gaze firmly. "They have tried to break us and they have succeeded," she said before stopping to swallow. The thought of what she had just admitted made swallowing hard and she grimaced. "We have spent all this time hiding in this half light, trying to either find closure in it or else run from it." She pushed at the barrier in her brain but it did not budge. The mental suffocation was close to driving her absolutely mad, when he turned to her properly. "We might be half lights, Mallory," he muttered as he stepped closer to her before continuing, "But that doesn't mean we can't be half lights together," he said as his fingers brushed hers. It was so light at first, but then their fingers slid around each other and soon their hands closed around each other. It was a mere moment of closure, tainted by affection and ill-fate, however together, they might have just become one burning flame. =*= [COMING SOON]

I scooted a little closer to him and tilted my head a little, curious to know what his response would be. "Um well we could uh talk about our lives you know, school and family and friends and other stuff like that." "And do you really want to do that?" I asked him running a finger down his white t-shirt after closing the small distance between us. "Do you really want to just sit and talk about family," I leaned over to whisper in his ear, "and friends," I lightly nipped his earlobe while continuously running my finger down his shirt until I reached the waistline of his black jeans, "and school," I was just about to trace my finger over his zipper when he gripped my hand and looked me in the eye just as I finished saying, "and other stuff like that." I looked up from our hands to his green eyes, taking in the blueish specks of his irises, with a hint of hazel mixed, surrounding his pupil. We stared at each other for a minute, me admiring how close his proximity is and how the tingly sensation of his hand on mine felt good. "No I don't." Dominic groaned out, looking down at my lips and then back up at me. "No you don't what?" I leaned in a little, suddenly feeling drawn in to his green eyes and awaiting lips. ------ Ryler didn't expect to fall for him so soon. It only took her 2 days for her to realize how much she truly cares for him. Only 2 days for her to also realize it was a mistake. Only 2 days for her to feel heartbroken.
