Layla's life has always been far from perfect. From having no friends to having a very sick mom. 
On Layla's 14th birthday, she was alone reading when she has a visitor, an unknown force brings Layla towards the visitor. After speaking with the visitor for a little while, Layla is knockout. When she wakes up she is in a new place, feels stronger, now has powers, and is owned by the shadow man or Darkness, as Layla decides to call him.

Layla is Darkness slave, so she goes around killing whoever Darkness wants her too. At the end of each kill Darkness usually, comes to collect whatever he needs from the body. But after one of the murders, after Darkness comes, Layla is about to leave and the dead body comes back to life, telling Layla there is a way out of this murdering.
