Rumors still swirl around in the tabloids about her 'relationship' with the singer/ songwriter, Robert Kelly or known as "R.Kelly". From what had been percieved in interviews, magazines, etc. , the two were ' best friends ' , but judging by their marriage certificate the pair had eloped else where. Involved in the act was the lie, that Aaliyah had told about her being legal. For she had already knew that if the courts had knew she was only 15 years of age, her marriage with Robert would be annuled.

-Let's get this straight.
