Millie Bobby Brown has had selective mutism since she was born. Selective mutism makes Millie unable to talk to people that aren't immediate family. It's not that she physically can't talk, but she DOESNT want to. When her mother passed away when Millie is eight years old, she stops talking to anyone. When Millie meets Finn, she finally has a friend, and Finn is the only person who can get Millie to talk. But when Finn thinks that Millie betrayed him, he hates her, and Millie stops talking again. Millie can either tell Finn the truth and get over her fear of speaking, or live with the pain of Finn hating her, and stay forever Swallowed In Silence.
