All my life I've never really made my own decisions. Most of the time I've thought how I think my mother would do in whatever situation I'm in. I've tried doing things my way, and look at where that got me: I kill for money. This is my story. Oh my god, this has nothing to do with what I've written. Ughhhhhh

As I reflect on my life, I realize that happiness isn't solely defined by wealth or material possessions. My mother and her sister, both African, worked tirelessly as nurses at a hospital in America. My father, an American construction worker from New York, met my mother at the hospital after he was injured on the job. They fell deeply in love, got married, and I, Emily Sebastian, was born. But life took a drastic turn when my mother was diagnosed with a terminal illness, and my father mysteriously disappeared. After her passing, I found solace in living with my aunt.
