Elena is a Star, brought to Middle Earth in the form of an elf.  Stars only Fall into the world when absolutely necessary, and Elena knows her arrival must have a purpose.  When King Thranduil finds her on the night of her Fall, it is only a matter of time before she discovers what she was put on the earth to do.  To complete her task and fight the passion threatening to devour her heart, Elena must face every power, including the one festering inside herself.

The story follows their relationship from the days and weeks after the battle to many years later, during the events from LOTR and after. I absolutely loved their chemistry in the Hobbit and this is my first fanfic. I tried to keep the characters as close to the movie versions as I could (since Tauriel only appears in the movies and Thranduil's personality is only vaguely presented in the books).
