Eight-year-old Dan Howell is going to a camping trip with his parents and a school friend when his fear of the unknown takes control of him and prevents him from enjoying the vacation set in front of him. His imagination leads him suddenly astray from the camping group and he meets Phil, a boy who seems more dog-like than anything else. He comes to learn about the strange boy who lived in the Seoni Jungle since he was a toddler. Phil also learns about the "real world" when he explores the ceaseless number of things in Dan's backpack. But will Dan choose the leave this magical jungle and his new found friend when he gets a little too homesick?
(A/N: This is the first fanfiction that I'm writing in a looong time so excuse the crappy parts. Hope you enjoy it!)

But he wasn't sure if Suki was real because of two things. One, she was about six feet tall. And two, nobody but Dan could see her. Fast forward to the age of sixteen. Dan still thinks that maybe he's slightly crazy. He's also slightly annoyed, because Suki has escaped the house and is roaming wild through the streets of New York. He breaks out of his family's apartment to go searching for her, and meets a boy called Phil Lester; who can not only see Dan's cat, but has a cat of his own. They move in together as adults, and live a harmonious life. Dan thinks everything is perfect, but he doesn't know that Phil's mental health has taken a turn for the worse.
