"...So, babe, have ya heard the big news?" Wilford began after a stretched silence came over the pair. A scowl came from Dark's mouth. "What news?" Wilford chuckled at his tone.

"Oh... Just that you're not the scariest thing roaming these streets any more."

Dark gave a fake laugh. After his short fit of giggles, he grunted. "Is that a threat, Wilford?" The man on the other line quickly replied in a high and sincere voice. "Oh, no no no, darling! I could never out do you. Nor harm you. It's not me that's your opponent, Darky." The raven-haired demon rolled his eyes hard enough to give him a headache. "Yeah, right. I've been out and about for six years now. I've done some pretty vulgar and horrible things, Wil. I'll always be the subject of everyone's dreams. What could possibly be more frightening than myself?" Dark frowned at the thoughtful hum over the phone. Wilford went dead silent for two straight minutes. "Wil?"
