Charlie has a plan. Others call it a dream.
She's an artist and aspires to be the best. Her three best friends are the reason she's still in this town. Well figuratively. Literally, No one can really afford to leave.
But soon enough problems start to unwind about her home, about her friends, about the shadows. And it leaves her hands shaking, gripping around a paint brush.
It leaves this town in ruins.
It leaves her life blank.
Until all she can paint, is a black canvas.

"I may not remember much, but I do know that I had the best time with you last night." Charlie drops his hand from his mouth and lifts his head to stare into my eyes, pushing his hair back from his face at the same time. "And I know this is awkward now, because I'm pretty sure we were both naked together in bed last night..." I choke on air, trying to dispel the imaginary object from my throat. Charlie reaches out and lightly grasps my hand; my eyes slide from our interlocked fingers to his shining pupils. "...but I still wouldn't change a single thing about it. So, I really do look forward to hearing from you later, Kaiydeen." It's like I've been taken hostage by his electric stare. I don't want to look away. I never want to look away. The busy noises of the street and the honking of the traffic fade as I lose focus, nothing strong enough to force my attention away from this boy. Finally, Archer loudly clears his throat as he flings his door open and plops into the car with a huff, breaking the trance between the two of us. I look away as I withdraw my hand from his grasp, trying to figure out what the hell just happened. This is going to be a long 6 months. ●●● Kaiydeen has always known what she wanted, more like who, but she never knew exactly how to get it. So she's complacent with biding her time until it, actually he, comes to her; no matter how long that takes. But then one day she crashes into someone she doesn't expect. Someone that has always had an eye for her, and he isn't satisfied with biding his time until she's his. But when the one person she's always wanted admits he wants her, too, she's forced to make a choice. Should she go for the boy she just met or the boy she's always known? There is some use of mature language in this story, so if your eyes are innocent and you want them to stay that way this might not be the story for you. The Moments I Recall
He looks out beyond the edge and I can't seem to pull my eyes away from him. He smiles and speaks, but I can't hear anything he says. Even so, the buzzing seems to grow quieter and quieter till it's just silence all around myself and him. I watch his mouth move as inaudible words flow from it into the air, and his hands open as he gestures while he speaks. I watch as he looks turns to look at me to be sure I am following along, and then his eyes just wait on me and his mouth stops moving. I watch him mouth my name and tilt his head to read me. There's nothing I can tell him. Nothing that wont change things, but if I keep this going things will change. "Stop moving you idiot" I exclaimed loudly "i'm trying to get the tone right and you're screwing up the shadows!" ----- Freya didn't care about boys. She didn't care about her hair or her clothes. She cared about art; the way that a brush layered paint on a canvas, the toning in a simple 5 minute sketch and the beauty found all around her in a fragmented world. That is what occupied and distracted her ever anxious mind. So when suddenly the quiet girl was forced out of her sanctuary in the art rooms, and into a world of supernatural mayhem and new beginnings everything changes, and two unlikely people, forced together through circumstance, find love. NOTE: there will be a lot of references to anxiety and panic attack disorder in this story. All of the information included is based purely off of my own experiences so please do not tell me that i am wrong as everyone's experience is different! This is rated PG for the most part, any content different from this will be stated at the beginning of the chapter.
