Charlie has a plan. Others call it a dream.
She's an artist and aspires to be the best. Her three best friends are the reason she's still in this town. Well figuratively. Literally, No one can really afford to leave.
But soon enough problems start to unwind about her home, about her friends, about the shadows. And it leaves her hands shaking, gripping around a paint brush.
It leaves this town in ruins.
It leaves her life blank.
Until all she can paint, is a black canvas.

"Stop moving you idiot" I exclaimed loudly "i'm trying to get the tone right and you're screwing up the shadows!" ----- Freya didn't care about boys. She didn't care about her hair or her clothes. She cared about art; the way that a brush layered paint on a canvas, the toning in a simple 5 minute sketch and the beauty found all around her in a fragmented world. That is what occupied and distracted her ever anxious mind. So when suddenly the quiet girl was forced out of her sanctuary in the art rooms, and into a world of supernatural mayhem and new beginnings everything changes, and two unlikely people, forced together through circumstance, find love.
