There had been a prophecy. They were supposed to save the world. So why had it all gone wrong? The Monsters won and the world belongs to them now.

Taking inspiration from Japanese Monster cartoons, this story asks the question of what happens when the legend fails and the world has to survive after a devastating war against the Monsters.

Lara is best friends with a rabbit-like Monster called Biggs. Lara always thought she was the only human to be friends with a Monster and who could do the things she did. It turns out she was wrong. A man who also used to have a Monster as a partner shows up. Only he knows that the war was supposed to end differently and he wants to know what went wrong.

We follow the story of Mado X a survivor who escaped his underground safe house which was last called "the quarantine" because of all the diseases that occurred when their self powering generator stopped working. You'd thinking dying in the hospital due to a terminal illness would mean the end of the story. Not for me though. After having months to come to terms with my incoming death I was pretty prepared for the end. To bad after dying I woke up back up a week later in my grave. Now I'm alive again (sorta). To make matters worst apparently my existence is illegal as hell according to supernatural law. Now I got a pissed off supernatural council mad at me for just existing! Lucky for me it turns out I unknowingly made a quite a few super natural friends while I was human . All willing to help and vouch for me. But this transition is a rough one and it turns out I may more powerful than I should be.

I never believed it would end like this. I was just watching Netflix when the power went out, then before I knew it everyone was screaming, then the school began to shake and fell to the ground. Only three kids in my entire school were spared, four if you count me. I found a group of people heading to the east coast for a boat trip to a supposed safe haven in India. They died of disease days later. I found their bodies by the river. But I guess this is my life now, surviving with a scared boy, a pair of twins and trying to make it to the next day.
