Allie is a teenage girl who has nothing but self-pity and self-destructive thoughts. All she sees is darkness. So what happens when Allie's house burns down? She and her family - after a miraculous escape - go back the next day after the fire is extinguished to find things that the fire might have mercied. Unluckily, nothing survived... but would the things they find be more spiritual than material.
