So. My life was perfect, okay? I had good grades, went to family outings on the weekends, had one or two best friends, and immersed myself in books.
But NO. Fate just wouldn't let me stay content in my comfort zone. Sassy, egotistical, outspoken, loud, social James came along and BAM! My life changed.
All because of Starbucks and a Ravenclaw Scarf.

Settling Slowly
2015 rolled in with a bang, and it did not have the grace to gift me with a social life that everyone in a one hundred year radius would be jealous of or that is even just the talk of the town. Instead I got myself into a complicated relationship which wasn't much talked about, a relationship that I didn't get into is talked about all the time and university is around the figurative corner. That is where you can factor in people I suppose I should call 'fans', the fascination that comes in with cutlery, pots, pans and other formerly boring things. But let us not forget that my parents are finally getting married and Mum can't shop for lace without me wanting to kill her, add in a dose of sleepless nights, invigorating kisses - which have nothing to do with the sleepless nights and a lot to do with nightmares - Harriet not knowing the meaning of the words "you're done" and Ice Ice Baby is still a thing. We're all growing up (except Dad who will still make inappropriate jokes at every inappropriate moment, some to do with what cannot be done when you're wearing a plaster cast) and holidays are being planned though some are less holiday and more a mad dash to find somewhere to live out in the big wide world without our parents. He rushes behind a car as I'm shooting at him as he's shooting while running away. "Imma Kill You Manny!" I growl at him angrily as I keep firing shots as my gun clicks. "Fuck." Love Misunderstood
I only ever met one man I'd call truly noble. He was a man who was misunderstood and worthy of the world, yet everyone saw him differently. That was until I saw his true colours. When I slammed my locker shut and turned to see Toby standing there, watching me, I jumped in fright and dropped my bag. Talk about speaking of the devil. I picked it up quickly before he could and said a rushed "hi" before turning to leave. But Toby pulled me back to him making my flustered countenance change and I was suddenly defensive. I pulled away and made a face. "Do you need something or something?" I questioned him. "Relax," he said. "Are you in a hurry?". He sounded so sweet. And why was he looking down at me so innocently? "I'm not", I said with a shake of the head. He seemed very polite so I instantly felt bad for being rude. "What's up?". "You're Harvey, right? Harvey Celestine?". I nodded. "You're Maria's friend". "To the point, Meyers". I was quickly becoming bored. Toby looked surprised for a moment, although I didn't know why. But then, he smiled a little. "You left your geography note and textbook in class and that wouldn't do considering the fact that we have a geography test tomorrow". I immediately switched up and started thanking him profusely. All my sticky notes and reminders were in there. He smiled and waved it off before turning to leave. When I got home, Maria gave me a phone call, squealing like a child. "Toby invited me to his birthday party this Saturday!". I pulled the phone away from my ears to protect myself from the extra scream that came after that. "He said you could come too".
