Leonard Stamps is dead, but he doesn't know it yet. In the surreal landscape of the Low Place, lost souls struggle to remember their lives and escape the clutches of demonic creatures. But when a fallen angel is sent to look for a missing man in the forests of Michigan, the barrier between the Low Place and the realm of everyday life is threatened.
