Angelina Valance is a nerdy Soc and Cherry Valance's cousin. Along with her cousin, she has 3 best friends who are also Socs and her boyfriend is Scott Hershmen-the richest Soc in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Angelina cares a lot about her schoolwork, has already planned her life after she finishes school, loves to read, is a good girl, a cheerleader, plans on marrying Scott someday, and is what everyone would call "The perfect daughter or student". She hates drinking, smoking, stealing, would never do anything illegal, almost never swears, and is terrified of all greasers. 

One greaser in particular Angelina can't stand is the famous Dallas Winston who (you all know) is the complete opposite of Angelina and often bullies her whenever he sees her. Dally can't stand Angelina either and thinks of her as a stuck up, spoiled princess while Angelina thinks of Dally as the worst greaser and criminal in Tulsa. Angelina and Dally are completely happy with their lives but they both share a feeling of emptiness that they are so desperate to fill with something but don't know what that "something" is.
