"YOU ARE SO BLOODY INTOLERABLE DID YOU KNOW THAT?" She roared, storming to the other side of the small living room.

His lips curled upwards into a snarl seething with hatred, his cold blue eyes reflecting his mood. "You think it's easy for me? Sitting around cooped up in this damned place, stuck with you of all people. A useless woman who can't even cook. Not to mention you are a pain in the ar-"

"ALL YOU EVER DO IS COMPLAIN AND MAKE SEXIST COMMENTS. AND I CAN COOK, WHATEVER COMES OUT OF YOUR MOUTH IS BOLLOCKS." She hollered back, striding back towards the taller of the pair.

"You are a good for nothing arsehole." She growled, right up in his face, stabbing a finger into his chest. Their eyes battled one another, icy blue against stormy green.

Then he closed the distance between them with a fiery kiss. And she kissed back, hard.

"You think you have such a smart mouth, don't you?" She said, so sweetly. So quietly. So deviously. I crossed my arms, the muscles in my arms jumped and strained against the sleeves of my red shirt. "I don't think. I know." "Ooh, poor boy. Suffering from brain injury already. It's alright. I'll let you live your disillusionment." Unable to take it anymore, I bite out. "What are you doing?" "I'm sorry?" "You are acting like I didn't touch your pussy last night." • • • Top naval aviator Zaid Edris has weathered every storm, both in the skies and on the ground, with unwavering precision and strength. Blood Runs Thicker by Elora_Elysia

The first time Mira saw him, he was bleeding. A cold night. A flickering streetlamp. He sat on the curb, knuckles split, blood dripping onto the pavement like ink staining a page. She should have walked away. Should have pretended she didn't see him. But she didn't. Instead, she crouched beside him, her voice soft but steady. "Who did this to you?" He laughed-a low, bitter sound. "Does it matter?" Mira didn't know his name yet. But when their eyes met, something inside her recognized him. Not his face. Not his voice. His pain. Because she had the same kind buried in her bones. --- His name was Riven. And trouble followed him like a shadow. He never spoke about his past. Never explained the bruises. Never asked for help. But Mira saw the anger in his fists, the exhaustion in his shoulders. The war he fought every time he looked in the mirror. And despite herself, she stayed. Even when he told her to leave. Even when his darkness bled into her light. Even when she knew-this would destroy her. --- One night, he showed up at her door, drenched in rain, eyes empty. "I did something bad." Mira's breath caught. "What did you do?" Riven didn't answer. He just looked at her, jaw clenched, chest rising and falling like he was trying to breathe through whatever monster was clawing at his ribs. And she knew. It wasn't just a fight this time. It wasn't just another wound to clean up. He had crossed a line. And now, there were only two options-run, or drown with him. Mira should have been afraid. Should have shut the door, called the police, saved herself. But love made people stupid. So she stepped forward, wiped the blood from his cheek, and whispered, "Then we leave. Together." Because blood runs thicker than water. And love? Love was the thing that made you stay-even when you knew it would kill you.

She had been alone with me before but the air in the car was excruciatingly lovely. It felt like home. It was as if she was my wife and I was just driving us home after a long day. At the same time, it felt like I couldn't breathe. For fucks sake, my chest was sweating, but I loved it. I glanced at her as she was leaning her head on the window, her dark ponytail sprawled over her chest. She looked so daunting and elegant it made my heart clench. Sometimes, when I looked really hard and noticed everything I didn't get the chance to in all of the nine years I've known her before she disappeared, it made me feel like a high school boy again. That feeling of happiness when I was with her. Or even just the thought of her. Fuck. I grabbed a cigarette from out of one the cup holders and lit it up, trying to distract myself from her. I inhaled, but when I turned to look at Selene she was covering her nose with her shirt. I furrowed my brows and scowled. Did I smell? "What's wrong?" I softly asked. She glanced at me and shook her head gently, dismissing me. I clenched my jaw. When I pulled my hand up to inhale another smoke, it finally clicked. I quickly threw it out the window and turned the AC on, rolling our windows up. I felt her stare on the side of my face and gulped, trying my fucking best not to smile. "Why did you do that?" She asked me, her voice low. Almost sounding like she was whispering. I quickly shot her a glance before answering. "You have asthma." Her gaze darkened. It was so quiet I could hear her heart beating rapidly while we stared at each other. I couldn't help but want to reach up and kiss her, and hold her like she deserved. She swallowed her saliva and looked away, a smile starting to form on the corners of her lips. I chuckled, already knowing I couldn't escape her now. I wouldn't be able to. It'd be like not having oxygen. And so help me, God, if I didn't have my oxygen.

He swiped my sweat-soaked hair off my neck, resting his lips against my ear. His fiery breaths blew across my earlobe. My body shuddered once again, craving more of him. "You're not the first woman to think she could seduce me into bed because of who I am, what I write. And you won't be the last." He gave a small chuckle, pulling down my dress, so it covered me. "But," he said in a low growl, "so far...... you're my favorite." Breaths poured from my lips at those words. My heart fluttered inside my pounding chest. His favorite, my brain stuck to his words like glue. Clinging to the small hope we'd continue this somewhere else, more than once. We stayed in that position for a moment before his body heat disappeared from my back. He lit a cigarette in front of me, the flash of the lighter illuminating his flushed, sweat-soaked face. I leaned against the brick wall, finding comfort in the coolness against my heated skin. His eyes met mine again. I didn't think I could move from the spot, but he forced me to when he held up a red, lacy thong in between his fingers. My red lacy thong. Fucking panty thief! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Their worlds collided in a heated, passion-filled hook-up behind a bar, bringing their broken pieces together. And now? Mercy finds herself as C.J. "All's fair in love and war, or some shit, right?" He said, his smirk drawing to a slight sneer as he padded towards the open balcony. He rested his hands on the guardrail before letting out an exasperated sigh, thunder rolling behind it. The rain cascaded onto the tile in sheets, blowing the soft cream curtains back and forth. "Or some shit." I smiled, walking towards him. I could see the tension grow in his back and shoulders, his struggle evident. I placed my hand gently on his shoulder, trying my best to reassure him. I could feel his breathing hitch slightly at my touch; his response was all I needed to reassure me I was doing the right thing. My touch was welcomed. I leaned my head on his back, wrapping my hands around his waist. I longed to take away his pain; I hated seeing anyone this upset. She wasn't worth his time. ~Completed~ "Why are you being so shy?" He whispered. "I've seen, kissed, tasted every inch of your body. There is nothing to hide." I averted my eyes feeling heat in my cheeks and hoping that he could not feel it under his fingers. He made a frustrated noise then ducked down and pressed a kiss to the base of my jaw. The fingers previously on my cheek were now tilting my head back. "Scarlett Summer," he said into my ear, "sometimes you are the most infuriating person I have ever met." "I'm sorry." I whispered. "God, why are you apologizing? It is me who should be sorry for all of the unspeakable thoughts in my mind pertaining to you. You know I was not kidding when I said I was a dominating person. I know you've experienced it first-hand. I'm too rough with you I know that. You're just so, so breakable." He whispered the last part in my ear with so much behind it. "Sometimes I think I want to break you. Just shatter you into tiny pieces." His voice was shaky as he made his confession. "Do it then."
