When eighteen year old Kaylee Adams is asked to babysit her new neighbors' teenage son, she is expecting to watch a skimpy, prepubescent thirteen, maybe fourteen, year old boy. She is utterly surprised when she finds out that she is being asked to look after a sixteen year old man who looks older than her. Luke Troy is a rising junior in high school and he is 6'2, towering over Kaylee's 5'8. He is a soccer player and is extremely fit. He has been grounded by his parents for three months, because they had found out that he had gone to a party and gotten drunk. The thing that made them furious, though, was that it was the night before the championship soccer game at Luke's old school. He was now grounded for the whole summer, and his parents wouldn't even leave him in the house alone. What will happen on the night that Kaylee has to "babysit" Luke? Will they get along? This story is the third instalment in my 'Boys of Tommen You Series' and is connected to my other two stories, 'Seeing You' and 'Haunting You' but are not required to read before this one. Also I'll start updating this story once I finish 'Haunting You' All of these characters belong to Chloe Walsh, I do not claim any of them as my own, this is purely for fun. As there is not much information surrounding Tadhg and Leah's story, I won't be following any canon, and Leah's story will be entirely created by me. TW: This story will include character death(flashbacks), domestic abuse, child abuse, sexual abuse, drug addiction, smoking, mental illnesses and overall a lot of trauma. Michael takes Luke home with him for the night, and gradually Luke begins to find out more about gay life through a close circle of friends. ~~~ A blatant take on the Queer As Folk TV series that ran in the UK 1999-2000 & was remade in the USA 2000-2005. These series dealt with gay rights and social issues featuring storylines concerning homophobia, HIV & AIDS, Proposition 14 (USA version), violence/gay bashing, coming out, drug use, gay marriage & parental rights amongst others. The original UK series was set in Manchester, the US version in Pittsburg, I have set this version in Sydney at the same time (Early 90's) and have kept the original music that was first used in the UK version and re-used in the US version. I've renamed the characters (obviously) and also place names etc to suit the change in city. I've also added in some Australian-ness to suit the location. If you haven't seen the TV series, the UK version was ground breaking for it's time, nothing like it had been seen before and it sent controversial waves rippling which Showtime picked up on. They re-made it for a US audience, using nearly the exact same script before carrying it on and expanding it into 5 series. I highly recommend you watch if you can! Rights belong to Showtime and Cowlip.
