This isn't my work. But I felt like sharing it, it's worth a shot. Why is today's society so shitless focused on the idea of the perfect woman, the perfect hair, perfect skin, slim, fair, curvy etc etc. It's about damn time, We Change. Choose the options which make us better.
From a very young change we girls have been taught all of this shit, which gives rise to these insecurities of a girl, we've been reading in book that the boy always falls in love with the girl after her makeover and never before it, that she needs to be perfect to match his standards.
Bullshit.
The most beautiful person on this world cannot be determined through all these contests of Miss World or others, nor does a computer define what a perfect face should be. It's all a matter of your choices and opinions which makes you beautiful.
I never realized the power of this saying until now - "Beauty lies in the eyes of beholder."

MELANCHOLY | Melancholy drips from my fingertips. SOON TO BE A PUBLISHED PAPERBACK. COMING 2025! This melancholy drips from my fingertips so slowly, you begin to forget I even exist. All of me, the hard parts of flesh you could never seem to love, drips down the drain. I am waiting for the day for your fingers to unscrew the pipes, dig through debris and mess, scrape your heart against the rust, just to find me, so we can go through it all over again. Here, in the pages I find myself, in the ink that writes against my flesh, I will whisper the sadness, the heartache, and the decaying for all of the unspoken. Perhaps under this layer of melancholy, the girl I once knew still exists.    First poetry collection in the series. Original poems based off real life experiences. #12 in poetry.
