Captain Calina Grundley was a girl who was told to bake, sew, and be a proper lady, when really, she craved adventure in her heart. As soon as she heard of stories about pirates, she knew she would do anything to become one. Anything, including going across the Atlantic Ocean in search of the fantasy land, Manolute Island. She finds herself in a situation of danger with a scarce supply of food, barely any sleep, and storms. She's so determined to show the world that a lady can be a pirate, that Calina doesn't realize what has been trying to kill her the entire time
