Welcome to Oracle--a sprawling school of magic overlooked by a crystal mountain, surrounded by fields and forests beneath whipped clouds and endless blue skies. Caprice Bilberry is a witch who suddenly arrives at Oracle's extraordinary campus and is informed that as a student here, her greatest wish will be granted: She will be freed from generational enslavement and have the right to go to school and practice her magic. Why say no and return to life as a slave in a colonial village where using magic is an offense punishable by mutilation and death? But you know what they say: If something is too good to be true...it usually is. Caprice, Nezzle, and Bossa become friends, soon unraveling a terrifying secret: The school is more than what it seems, demanding a price more sinister than its lofty goals reveal or make up for. Its the ultimate fine print. For one does not simply enter and become a student at Oracle....

Meredith had always known about magic. Her family was magic, one of the most powerful mage lines out there. Having lost her parents to all the fighting though, she stayed far away from it, focusing on school and lading a primarily normal life. Until magic came knocking on her door. Someone in her family murdered one of the Shade vampires, and under treaty law, they must offer up a life in exchange. Mages are too precious, too valuable, but a single girl who refused to dance to their tune, well, not as much. Meredith is thrust into the world of the dark as a sacrifice to pay for her family's crimes, and she finds herself at the mercy of a cold vampire who hungers for her body and soul Somethings are inescapable. The dark past of her parents who she's never met. The power of creatures that thrive in the night. The call and will of magic she's fled from. While Meredith may not have signed up for the world of magic and the clash between the vampires and mages, she is now deep in the murky waters that divide the two. What lies in her family's past? Can she figure out the man who is now her owner? What does she do when her magic finally awakens and breaks free like a desperate animal free of its chains? This is the manuscript of a book I'm publishing. I posted it here so hopefully I can get advice from other people lol Elizabeth Oracle Amastacia is a 14-year-old elf witch in training who resides in Eden, a large city in the Kingdom of Stora, with her friend, Reed Silkspin, the spider girl. The summer is long and hot until storms begin raging throughout the Kingdom, strong enough to rip trees from the ground. The girls discover that the lightning is somehow summoning strange items from another world. What many have said was only a fairytale, the girls meet a human named Jamie Meyers. They make an oath with the human that they will bring her back to where she came from, but their only obstacle is scaling thousands of miles up the most dangerous mountain in the region, Mount Grimfate. When they encounter the Gods that rule over Stora, they come to realize that it might not just be Jamie they have to save and that both their universes may in their hands.
