Verdant is, by all accounts, a unique creature. He isn't what anyone would call normal. A genetic experiment that refused to fail. He survived a harsh birthing.
This is a story based on some characters, and how they interact. Only one of them is mine. It also coincidentally happens to tell a real story, but we'll let you figure that out.
