The Book of Emma Brown

Emma Brown is your normal everyday girl. No, really. She's a completely average sixteen-year-old girl living a normal life in Abbottsville, Virginia. All through her school life, she's set her eyes on the football star, David Reynolds. One day at lunch, she is intruded by a boy her age, named Alex Porter, who claims he comes from a very different world than Emma. Frightened but convinced, Emma agrees to help Alex escape and return home. The two believe that the only way for Alex to do so is for Emma to get her first kiss with David. Alex, while sleeping in Emma's closet every night, helps her prepare for the date. Using his strangely accurate information about the world, he recalls what will happen later to better prepare Emma for what is to come. Though being a wallflower is tough, Emma is determined to seek out the love of her life, even if it comes in unexpected places.
