She starts the second semester of her junior year, expecting the same things as the years before it, but something changes.

But after a few months, disaster strikes. Not between the two of them, but in the town. A series of brutal bear attacks lead a line straight into the town coming down from the mountain, but as they continue, they seen too well planned to be bear attacks.

Aubrey Griffin lives and breathes basketball. As one of the faces of UConn's elite women's team, she's used to pressure, expectations, and the constant pursuit of perfection. But behind the highlight reels and media attention, Aubrey feels the grind of it all wearing her down. Her heart still beats for the game, but the joy that once came so easily now flickers under the weight of relentless competition. Across campus, Alison is making waves of her own. As UConn's star goalie, she's undefeated, unshakable, and laser-focused. Her technique is flawless, her confidence intimidating, and her walls? Unbreakable. Ranked top three in the country, Alison is used to being in control, in and out of the goal cage. She doesn't let people in-not when the stakes are this high, not when she's come this far on her own. And definitely not when feelings are involved. Their paths rarely cross until a university-wide campaign puts them side by side as ambassadors for women in sports. What starts off as a polite collaboration quickly turns into a tug-of-war between two high-achieving, guarded athletes. Aubrey finds herself unexpectedly fascinated by Alison's cool demeanor and discipline. Alison can't ignore Aubrey's fire-the way she pushes forward, even when it hurts. The more time they spend together, the more their walls crack, exposing insecurities, ambition, fear... and something else neither of them is ready to name. In a quiet moment beneath the stadium lights, a late-night conversation turns into something intimate. Hands brush. A look lingers too long. A kiss changes everything. What follows is a slow, magnetic unraveling: Facetime calls from hotel rooms. Studying late at the library but not getting anything done. Secret sideline touches. Shared vulnerability behind closed doors. But neither of them can ignore the looming reality of their careers-and what it means to let someone close in a world that demands perfection.

If I had to choose one word to describe my life in a nutshell, I'd choose...Hell. My dad was arrested for buying and selling drugs, my mom stopped caring for and about me when he was taken away. The only person who cares about my wellbeing is my grandmother. And she lives in a nursing home. Plus I'm bullied at school. EVERYDAY. Sounds a lot like hell if you ask me. It's because of the way I dress, the way I act, the type of music I listen to. You name it, they judge me on it. I don't really care what people think or say about me. I just want to be left alone. Garnet is a very quiet and mysterious girl. She doesn't have any friends, so she spends most of her time at the nursing home with her grandmother. She's very grateful for the love her grandmother gives her, but she's starting to want something more. A different kind of love. She never thought that anyone could give her that kind of love. At least not until she met Micah. Micah really likes Garnet, but she just doesn't believe it. Micah and Garnet become really good friends. Until feelings are revealed. In this book, you'll see what life is like for Garnet as...THE ONE AND ONLY OUTSIDER. ~*[COMPLETED]*~ X-WARNING-X This story is down right crappy. So, I apologize in advantage for how bad and cringe worthy this story is. I read back through it once I completed it, and cringed at almost every sentence I wrote. Some parts are actually worth reading, and others make me want to gag. So, I warned you. If you cringe/gag/puke from reading this book, I'm sorry. My writing is getting better though, I promise.
