"Why do you like to read so much?" He questioned, his dark brown eyes capturing my green ones in an intense gaze.

I let my eyes drift away from his, but I could still feel his stare on me. "Reading takes me to another place," I answered focusing on the huge oak tree settled outside the window. "Opens my mind to a whole another universe beyond ours, one that has capabilities of well... anything. It's made me the person I am today." I looked back at him.

There was something in his eyes for a split second before they filled with amusement. "A philosopher on crack?"

And you most certainly aren't worthless." I gasp to breathe, and he continues talking. "What you are is an amazing person who hasn't let all of this crazy bullshit affect her. You handled it like a champ. What you are is a strong, brave being that has stood by my side." I breathe as he leans closer. "What you are, is the love of my life...."

"I walked over to where Aaron was sitting on the ground, kneeling so that I was face-to-face with him. "You threw me out of your car and disappeared," I snap, bitterness dripping from my words. "Okay, not my finest move. But I had to," he replies, his eyes flickering with a brief, almost imperceptible pain. "Why are you back now? Why my dad's company? Is this some kind of game for you?" I ask, frustration edging my voice. "Oh, bunny," he says, sliding closer. My breath hitches at the sudden proximity. "I told you I'd never let us be apart again." He grabs my face with his hand, shaking it slightly as if to emphasize his point. I gasp at his words. "W-wha-" I say nervousness stealing my ability to form words. "Yes, bunny. This is not a game. Never apart again. Okay?" He says sliding his thumb over my bottom lip.
